Do You Like It Sweet Without The Guilt ? Check Out What's New In The "NORTH SHORE" Silver Lake Community!

I was so happy to see a new business YOGURBERRY arrive on Forest Ave. next door to my favorite coffee shop in the "NORTH SHORE" Silver Lake community! This quaint store serves delicious frozen yogurt and shakes. You can get original flavor and strawberry everday, other flavors alternate during the week.

 Friendly server Samantha gave me the option of today's  flavors- Raspberry or Green Tea.  I decided on Raspberry with granola, coconut

and some chocolate chips. WOW ! Alittle bit of heaven.  Very delicious and a must stop when passing through in  the "NORTH SHORE"

Silver Lake area.  The indulgence is nice without all the guilt!  Enjoy!

Staten Island's " North Shore" Neighborhood-Silver Lake- Check out what's for SALE!

 Traveling through Staten Island's "North Shore" Silver Lake neighborhood you will see a gorgeous Victorian home across from Silver Lake Park and golf course  just hit the market!  The charm and feel of this "AWESOME"  home definitely will bring you back in time.

  Many homes in the area date back to the early 1900's ,and a blend of many fabulous colonial homes are also in this area.

On a different note... my favorite Coffee and Tea Market shop in the Silver Lake area was serving "JAMAICAN ME CRAZY"  coffee today- sooooo good!  A wonderful blend of carmel, vanilla, nuts and mexican liquor. Friendly locals greet me as I enter this quaint little shop. Usually the tables are filled in the early morning with chatter and daily news being shared . A great little hangout!

Staten Island's Silver Lake Park -The Journey is "Fabulous"!

I suggest checking out the Veranda restaurant,located at the Silver Lake golf course.
The view overlooks the golf course. Food is delicious and a day like today you can enjoy the beautiful weather and views!

There are 107 acres of park area, an 18-hole public golf course, tennis courts, clubhouses, pro shop, lockers, showers, lounge, restaurant, and auto parking. The seventh fairway is open during the winter as a coasting area for children.
The road is closed on Sundays and holidays 6am-6pm for bicycling. This major park surrounding twin reservoirs is popular for walking, jogging and picnics.

The Silver Lake Park "Tot Lot" project will provide a safe and exciting play area for small children and their parents. Included will be swings and a steel play unit. Completion date 2010.

This park located on the "North Shore" is definitely a favorite of mine! The peaceful,tranquil setting is a fabulous choice of how to jump start your day!
